ISO/TS 29001

Since 1940s, when the idea of quality management system was generated, different syndicates have attempted to regulate their own quality management system.

Putting forward ISO 9000 as an international standard for quality management, various guilds expressed interest in generating quality management system, pertaining to both, international standards and guilds customary requirements.

In constructing corporate standards, such matters as growth in science and technology in a related specialized area, the expanse of supply chain and guilds requirements in supply chain, have been the major concerns.
ISO/TS 29001 was set up by 67 technical committee of ISO as a supplementary for ISO 9000:2000 obligations, regarding guilds specifics in oil, petrochemical and natural gas industry.

Considering the enormous funding in oil, petrochemical and natural gas industry, in addition to constant growth in employing management systems in stated industries, utilization of ISO/TS 29001 can play an efficient role in quality management policies.
